Product Review: Mexi-Snax stone ground tortilla chips

My family loves tortilla chips and salsa, so I decided to try a different brand than my usual. I tried the multi-grain tortilla chips from Mexi-Snax and what grabbed my attention was that these snacks are certified organic, wheat-free and gluten-free. They also come in blue chips as well as white and when I mixed the blue and white chips on the serving plate they really did look festive together. I served the chips with both salsa and guacamole and they had a different texture than I was used to with my typical fried, oily, salty tortilla chips. This wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, they just tasted different.

The chips seemed to have a grainy texture and they crumbled easily, but they had great flavor on their own or dipped in the salsa. I was happy to try them and would probably get them again, but this is one product that I did notice a difference between the healthy version and the non- healthy kind. So maybe next time I would buy them for myself, but not serve them at a party where people are looking to “treat” themselves.
Mexi-Snacks is mostly sold on the West Coast (US), but you can buy them online. They have been in business over 25 years.

I bought two bags at Cargo Largo clearance, but have not seen them since. These are incredibly delicious and satisfying! Organic corn, gluten free, vegan. I live in the Kansas City area and would also dearly like to find them.
