Christine’s Holiday Gift List 2004

Many of us who do not feel well this season, have to do most of our shopping online. Especially with the colder
weather, and lots of walking and crowds in malls- I know I find online shopping essential.

Many friends and readers of
this website have asked for my advice on some good Holiday gifts for those who
might not feel well this season. So below you will find 15 Holiday Gift
Suggestions
to hopefully brighten someone’s day.  I tried to find a
wide variety of gifts that will make anyone young or old, man or woman cheer up
this season.

Money is always tight around
the Holidays so here are 15 gifts from $70 -$10. Most of these items are on sale
now to save you even more money. Sometimes it is hard to buy something for
someone you know is having a hard time this holiday season- but whether you make
them smile, or make them feel good…anyone of these gifts is sure to be a hit!

15. Breakfast
In Bed Gift set

A wonderful assortment of gourmet delights to start
the day, and a handy way to serve them with a beautiful bed tray.
Vanilla biscotti, Ghirardelli double chocolate hot cocoa,
old-fashioned pancake mix, gourmet breakfast syrup, tea and scone mix
and more fill this gift set.  Beautiful mugs, matching magnets and
a napkin complete this eye-opening collection. It’s so good they will be
asking for seconds. Why leave bed?

14. First Aid
Only All-Purpose First Aid Kit, Softpack (106 Pieces)

Back when I was in college I was given a first aid kit
by my dad. I didn’t fully appreciate this gift then, but I still have it
now- and I think of him whenever I use it. Minor cuts and scrapes, or
the need for tylenol, I think this is the perfect gift for a parent to
give a child or for anyone who doesn’t have a first aid kit. College
dorm room essential.

13. Contact Back Massager,
Black Faux Suede

Going for a massage can be expensive, and for those of
you who aren’t blessed to be married to a masseuse can request this as a
gift! Plug this in, put it on your favorite chair and just relax. This
gift does all the work for you and makes you feel better in minutes!

12. Operation – the game

I do not like real operations, but the game made me
giggle when I was a kid and still does as an adult. This game has become
a classic. I gave this game to a friend of mine before she unfortunately
had an operation. It made a hard time less stressful as we laughed and
played like we were kids. I would recommend this game to kids or adults.

11. HAPPY For
Women By CLINIQUE Perfume

The name of this Perfume is Happy.. so how could you
go wrong?  This just has to brighten someone’s day. The scent is so
light and refreshing, that I believe anyone would love it. I have used
Happy since it came out in 1997, and I am always pleased whenever i wear
it.

10. Barenaked for the
Holidays

Christmas Music CD’s are always a great gift. You
never buy them for yourself so you always like receiving them. I know I
get bored with the same old holiday songs- so I would love this as a
gift. I used to listen to the Barenaked Ladies all the time when I was
in college, and their up beat sound is just as contagious with this
Holiday theme.

9. Philosophy
brand chocolate chip cookies shampoo, conditioner, & shower gel

I LOVE all the "Philosophy" brand of
products. With that blanket statement being said, I also love the smell
of warm chocolate chip cookies. The combination is wonderful as are most
of the "philosophy" products. If chocolate chip cookies are
not your sent- try some of the others, I am sure you will become
addicted as I have. This gift is sure to put a smile on the recipients
face every time they use it!

8. The Happy Company
Therapeutic Head Massager

Ok, I know this one looks silly… But it works wonders for headaches,
and will be fun to use! Buy one for yourself, or for someone you love.
It will put a smile on your face whether it genuinely feels good or if
you are just laughing! Imagine watching Grandma on Christmas morning
using this one!

7. Shrek 2 DVD

Most people see "cartoon type" movies as
something for children, but after seeing the "Shrek" series –
I totally disagree. Anyone young or old will laugh along with these
lovable characters. I have seen both Shrek 1 and 2 and I would recommend
them both.

6. The Complete
Peanuts 1950-1954 Boxed Set

The best part of the Sunday paper is reading the
comics section and laughing with the gang from the Peanuts. This
complete box set is a great gift for any collector, or for anybody who
wants to see Snoopy as a puppy!

5. HoMedics
ParaSpa Elite Paraffin Bath

This is one of those items you always want for
yourself and never buy for yourself. My hands hurt all the time, but
especially in the cold and I have always wanted one but never wanted to
spend the money on myself. Why not make someone’s day and show them how
to "treat" themselves.

4. Happy
Toes  Microwaveable Therapeutic, Lavender, slippers

Who says only older people can have bad circulation?
My feet are always cold and I know I would love these great smelling
warm relaxing slippers. A great gift for so many on my shopping list!

3. DVD Player

I can’t believe DVD Players have gotten so cheap! Now
they are actually affordable as gifts without having to go to the
"poor house". Almost every movie now comes on DVD. For those
of us home alot, a DVD player is essential. No matter what the brand- a
DVD player for someone who doesn’t have it, makes a great gift!

2. Original
Sherpa Pet Bag Deluxe

Don’t forget gifts for your pet! My Puppy is the love
of my life, so I want to treat him well. Sherpa brand sets the standard
in dog carrierers blending fashion with function, they are simply the
best! Who wouldn’t want this pink and black bag?

1. OXO
Softworks 19-pc. Kitchen Tool Set

OXO "Good Grips" makes working in the
kitchen easier because they are all made ergonomically to be easier on
your hands. I have this set and truly couldn’t live without it. My hands
do not hurt nearly as much as I am preparing dinner and wish I had them
sooner. This product or any of the OXO products would make the perfect
gift for any cook! (or those of us trying to be)
