Book Review: The Necklace by Cheryl Jarvis
This was an unusual book – and its non-fiction. Thirteen women agree to collectively purchase a diamond necklace that is very expensive and share it. As they do so, they suddenly find they are also sharing their lives and the camaraderie they find with each other is amazing – almost more important than the necklace!
They learn how to get along with each other, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and how much more they can do as a team versus individually.
In time, they “share” the necklace with others, and enhance other people’s lives.
It started with a diamond necklace and a “wish”, and ends with fundraising, more people getting involved and an enriched life for all who stay involved.
It’s an entertaining read and may give you some ideas how to improve your own life in a fulfilling way – and I don’t mean by buying a diamond necklace…
I have the advance readers copy and would be willing to share it with one of you. Just visit my website, send me an email telling me why you would like to have it, and I’ll pick one of you! www.bookfaerie.com
