Website Review: freecycle.org The online free garage sale service!
You know the saying “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure?” In this case it’s true! This website is worldwide and amazing! For most of us who are on government assistance or can’t work full time, money is limited. We seem to always be in need of something or other and often times go nuts trying to figure out how to afford it.
This website is fabulous because it’s free!!!
That’s right, people right in your own area post different things, depending on what they are looking for. I am going to be moving out in the coming new year and the bedroom I’ll be going into is really small, 11X91/2, so my current double bed may not fit. I went looking on this site for a single bed frame, mattress, box spring and headboard and found that a lady who lives right down my street has one to give away!
This site is great since you can find almost anything from furniture and books to kitchen utensils and much more. I was so impressed because I couldn’t even begin to afford a single bed on my limited income and I was worried I may have to squeeze my bed in and end up feeling uncomfortable. But thanks to this site there are tons of ads for single beds and such, so now I don’t have to worry.
This site is world wide so you are almost guaranteed to find exactly what you are looking for free of charge and who knows maybe right next door. Another great thing is that it’s free to post ads as well. If you have things
cluttering up your basement and garage, you can post them up on the site and get rid of them quickly and easily, without throwing them away. This is a way to keep our landfills free of things that are still good and re-usable and make sure that they will go to someone who needs them.
Well I am a big fan of the site, so check it out whether you are the one getting rid of the junk or the one acquiring the treasure. It’s a fabulous site and I give it two thumbs up!
