How to Find Books In Large Print

The easiest way to find books in large print is to do an internet search for them. Here are some tips.

Amazon actually has a separate search for large print books:

Doubleday has a large print book club.
Biblio.com has a large print category on it:

This site has several resources for a variety of books, audio books, even Braille, just click on the links and see what’s there. Some you can borrow and return!

Another way to find them is visit places like my website or abebooks.com and put “large print” in the keyword or description column. That will bring up the books that are on the site that fit your need.
If you want a particular book in large print, just search by the title and put “large print” in the keyword and it should bring it up if there are copies available.
Don’t let reading slip away from you, just add some key words to your hunt to get the books you want.
Also, don’t forget your library. They normally have a large print section and you can check them out in person. Also, ask about interlibrary loans. Sometimes they can get you books from other libraries, too!
Happy reading.

Another way to find LP books is the National Library Service. It is for people who are visually impaired or have other physical disabilities that prohibit them from reading a standard book. Each state has a library, and they offer books in large print, on special audio cassettes and Braille. Anyone is free to email me for more information, and I’ll gladly assist in finding the right library in any given state!

If you are unsure how long you can be out, you can request library books online and they will be waiting for you at the desk. Just give them a day’s notice so they have time to collect your books.
