Project YOU!

My life transformed from a full time job and doing image consulting to spending 100% of my time at home, with occasional part time image consulting. This created a real personal image crisis for me. Most of my wardrobe was business attire, and my few casual clothes were VERY casual! There was little in-between. I had to adapt, and you may be facing the same challenges.

When we don’t feel our best, looking good is a real challenge, isn’t it? Sometimes we are just too sick to care. We may not always feel like doing the whole beauty routine. Clothes? Whatever is clean and comfortable may have to
suffice!

Wouldn’t it be nice to find an in between state, something that is
still easy and comfortable but still makes you look and feel a little
more special? It can make the bad days easier, and the good days even better!

My "project you" will do just that! Give it a try and see what you
think. Gentlemen, the instant color analysis applies to you too, so
don’t feel left out!!

Project YOU!
I’m going to give you a little project! Try all the tips below at
once, or just a few. Look in the mirror. Don’t be scared! See a
friend afterward and get his/ her opinion.

Instant Self Color Analysis
Get in front of a mirror in good strong light. Hold up a beige piece
of clothing or towel next to your face. Then remove it and hold up a
white piece of clothing or towel. See the immediate difference in how your skin
looks? I’ll bet it’s brighter, you look happier, and just
better overall! If this is true, you are Cool. Colors in jewel tones, black or white will look best on you.

If you are one of the 15% of people who are Warm, the beige color will
make you glow. Typically you will have red or auburn hair or hair that
is very reddish brown, with freckles. If you are Warm, reverse the
change from/to advice below! Your best colors will be autumn colors –
beiges, browns, golds, yellows, peaches, oranges.

Change From:
Clothing and makeup in warm colors – like beige, brown, gold, orange,
coral. Eighty percent of the population has Cool skin tones. Warm colors on cool ladies can make you look pale, washed-out, and sallow.

Change To:
Clothing and makeup in jewel tones – pinks, roses, reds, sapphire,
emerald, ruby, black, even purple!

Change From:
Band-hem tops or sweatshirts, sweat pants, athletic shoes, sport socks.

Change To:
Below hip-length jacket or sweater in a comfy fabric, tank top (tucked in with a
1-3" wide belt if you have a definite waistline), cotton-poly
knit pants or jeans, socks to match your pants or your shoes.

Change From:
Stud earrings (i.e., tiny gold balls).

Change To:
Pretty earrings with a small dangle – lever backs are great because
they are comfortable to sleep in and don’t fall out!

Change From:
Tiny gold chain necklace

Change To:
Long necklace 30"+ or scarf if you are trying to look thinner;
otherwise a larger necklace with more impact will work.

Change From:
Hair in plain ponytail or worn "out of the shower".

Change To:
Hair in ponytail with hair accessory
OR tie on a pretty silk scarf, OR a cute hat if you’re a hat girl.

Change From:
No makeup or very little.

Change To:
Foundation, blush, neutral eye shadow and mascara. If you’re really feeling bad,
just clear lip gloss and mascara can make a big
difference and you can put them on lying down!

Change From:
Clothes the size you think you should be, or want to be.

Change To:
Clothes the size you really are.

Be prepared for lots of compliments!!
