Product review: ClearCanes.com
Sometimes when you are disabled you want something different just for fun and when you do, it is time to check out clearcanes.com. If you have to use a walking cane for your disability, you most likely received the typical metal or plain wooden cane from the doctor’s office or supply store.
Those canes are fine and “do the job” of helping you become more mobile, but they are not necessarily fun.
ClearCanes.com has a wide variety of colors in Lucite walking canes to choose from. If you have to walk with a cane everyday, then why not have it match your outfit? or maybe have it match the season or holiday? Red for
Christmas, green for St. Patrick’s day. Have fun. The ideas are endless.
They feature a 1″ round clear cane for $28, and a clear twisted cane for $33. The colored canes are $36 and come in red, blue, purple, green, yellow, fluorescent red, fluorescent blue, white and black. They are durable and
affordable, so I can see how you can get addicted and buy a few in different colors.
Please note that I did find the canes were slightly “heavier” than the orthopedic type that I was working with previously. If you are like me and experience fatigue or weakness, you might want to take this into account. Also, make sure you know the proper height for your cane. There is information provided on the site for measuring canes, or you can consult your doctor.
