Book Review: Narnia The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe

Written By: C.S Lewis

Lions, witches, magical wardrobes, fawns, horse/men and talking animals are all a part of the mysterious and magical land of Narnia. Four children living in the turmoil of the second World War are taken out of the city of London to the countryside to live with a mysterious professor. The four children – Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter are playing hide and seek when Lucy stumbles upon the wardrobe and enters it. Next thing she knows she’s in the cold and snowy land of Narnia. Before too long all four of them enter into this magical world via the wardrobe and soon they are thrown into a battle against the elements and the evil white witch. The stakes are raised even higher when they learn the very soul of their brother Edmund may be at stake. Who will win this battle? The evil witch or Aslan and the four children?
This book written by C.S Lewis is an engaging tale of adventure, love, and sacrifice. Parts of this book will make you laugh while others will make you weep with sadness. Even though this book was written with children in mind,
teenagers and even adults will love it. This is the first book in a series of six and each and every book is as good as the last. All seven of the books (including the prequel) should be added to your collection. Trust me the cost is well worth it. These will be books you’ll read over and over again. Maybe even to your own children someday.
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is not only a book but also a recent movie. If you had the pleasure of seeing this movie and you enjoyed it; I can also assure you that you’ll love the book as much as the movie, if not
more. Besides being an enjoyable book and movie this story also teaches important lessons of love and self-sacrifice. The acts Aslan had to endure, all for the sake of Edmund, was heart wrenching and extremely poignant. Let me tell you this book is an amazing story- one that has lasted generations and will last even more. If fantasy and classic fiction is something you enjoy then pick this book up. I promise you that it’s one that will keep you up all night.

C.S. Lewis is by far one of my favorite authors. The Chronicles of Narnia, and “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe,” in particular, were written after Professor Lewis became a Christian, which changed his life. This allegory shows the reader the sacrifice Jesus, the Lion of Judah, made for us by willingly going the the cross. And just as Aslan, He rises in defeat of death to new life. For sinful little kids who mess around with evil. Like us.

I have to believe that, since since Lewis was good friends with J.R.R. Tolkien, who was also a Christian, these allegories, and perhaps his science fiction trilogy, were birthed out of that relationship. Or perhaps the other way around!

I keep a wonderful drawing of Aslan, done by my honorary niece, Anna Syptac, on my FB page.

Narnia is just about substantial in the wake of having read these books, and anybody with a shred of youngster like creative ability in them can not help however delight in the stories of enchantment, witchcraft, truth & magnificence, with goodness triumphing over insidious as it generally ought to.

My most loved two inside the seven annals are “The Magicians Nephew”, and “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”. Between thse two we are acquainted with what I would consider to be the fundamental characters of the arrangement being Digory, Polly, Edmund, Lucy, Susan, and Peter.

I can’t go on much further with this audit as it is hard to survey one book in addition to seven-in-one. Evidently I prescribe that any guardian acquaint this book with their kid at an early age and help ingrain a feeling of qualities, but then likewise the capability to envision and be receptive to the obscure.

Top scores!!. I brought this series Chronicles of Narnia from
    Snazal Wholesale Books.
