The Lupus Taxpayer Gifts Bill needs your help!
Wonderful News!
The Lupus Taxpayer Gifts Bill, which will allow Lupus to be one of the charity choices taxpayers can donate to on their NYS Tax return, passed unanimously in the NYS Senate late last week!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to write letters and call their representatives to help get this bill passed.
But, there is still more to be done. The bill now needs to get out of the Assembly Ways & Means Committee to move forward. Please make calls to the Assembly Ways and Means Committee Chairman Farrell`s offices in NYC and Albany urging him to move A. 08882A the Lupus Taxpayer Gifts Bill out of committee forward.
It is okay that it is not your area, we need to blast his offices with callers, the more the better. Remember ANY step forward for Lupus research, support and education funding is a step forward for ALL of us.
